The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the schedule for the RPF SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV) for 2025. These tests are set to take place from June 22 to July 2, 2025, at the Jagjivan Ram RPF Academy in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Candidates must report by 4:00 AM on their assigned test date. Individual test dates for shortlisted candidates will be communicated soon via the official RRB website, SMS, or email. The e-Call Letter (admit card) will be available approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled test date on the RRB website (https://rpf.indianrailways.gov.in/). Candidates should regularly check the website for updates.
PET/PMT Requirements for Male and Female Candidates:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is a qualifying test with no marks awarded. It assesses physical fitness through activities like running, long jump, and high jump. Specific requirements vary by gender:
- Male Candidates:
- 1600-meter run
- Long jump
- High jump
- Female Candidates:
- 800-meter run
- Long jump
- High jump
- Ex-servicemen are exempt from PET but must undergo PMT.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): This evaluates physical standards such as height, chest (for males), and weight. Requirements differ by category:
- Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 165 cm (General), 160 cm (SC/ST), 163 cm (Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese, etc.)
- Chest (Unexpanded/Expanded): General – 80 cm/85 cm; SC/ST – 76.2 cm/81.2 cm; Garhwalis, Gorkhas, etc. – 80 cm/85 cm
- Female Candidates:
- Document Verification (DV): Conducted on the same day as PET/PMT for candidates who qualify. Candidates must bring original documents to confirm eligibility, identity, age, educational qualifications, and category.
Key Notes:
- The PET is mandatory and qualifying in nature. Candidates must pass to proceed to DV.
- A total of 4,725 candidates have been shortlisted for PET/PMT based on the Computer-Based Test (CBT) results released on March 3, 2025.
- Candidates should prepare for physical tasks and ensure they meet the required physical standards. Regular training in running, jumping, and maintaining fitness is recommended.
- The hall ticket for PET/PMT will be released 4 days before the exam date, accessible using registration number and date of birth.
