  • General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (up to Class 10 level).

  • Computer Awareness: Basics of computers, internet, MS Office, hardware/software.
  1. Mathematics (30 Marks):
  • Number System: LCM, HCF, decimals, fractions.
  • Arithmetic: Percentage, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, time and distance, ratio and proportion, averages, mixtures, and alligations.
  • Algebra: Basic equations, quadratic equations.
  • Geometry and Mensuration: Area, volume, triangles, circles, polygons.
  • Trigonometry: Basic trigonometric ratios and identities.
  • Data Interpretation: Tables, bar graphs, pie charts.
  • Simplification: BODMAS, fractions, surds, and indices.

Syllabus:
The CBT 2 syllabus is similar to CBT 1 but with a higher difficulty level and more in-depth questions. The topics remain the same, with the following differences:

  • General Awareness: Greater emphasis on current affairs (last 6-12 months), deeper questions on history, geography, and science.
  • Mathematics: More complex problems in algebra, trigonometry, and data interpretation; advanced mensuration and geometry.
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: Advanced puzzles, multi-step reasoning, and complex syllogisms; increased focus on analytical reasoning.

Additional Stages (Post-CBT 2)

  1. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (for specific posts like Station Master, Traffic Assistant):
  • Tests psychomotor skills, speed, and accuracy.
  • Includes questions on memory, observation, and reaction time.
  • No fixed syllabus; practice with mock CBAT tests recommended.
